Ash Heim, PhD
WELCOME!
I am a first-generation biology education researcher and instructor, with a background in Zoology and Organismal Biology.
My research interests include understanding how biology undergraduates critically think in lecture and lab settings; how biology undergraduates learn at informal settings like zoos; how learner-centeredness manifests in STEM classrooms; how and why instructors use open-source pedagogical materials; how undergraduates form networks in physics classrooms; and how diversity and equity can be improved in biology classrooms, among many others!
If you are interested in collaborating on a research project, or if you would like me to send a copy of any of my papers, please feel free to communicate with me via the "Contact" tab!
